If you are in the UK, nearly all of the tests sold over the counter test positive at 20-25 mIU, just so you know. Also, if anyone was on birth control recently, it can take up to 6 months for your cycle to get back to normal. I stopped a hormone birth control at the beginning of May, my May period was 3 weeks late, June was 2 days early, and July was 10 days early. Good luck. And remember, nothing said here should be in place of medical advice. Any positive or negative result should be confirmed by your doctor. At the early stages of pregnancy an ultrasound may not be able to see anything in your uterus. So, even if you have an ultra sound, request an intervaginal one (it is exactly what it sounds like, though it's less evasive then a yearly exam).
