Well, I'm 27 years old. For the last nine years I've experienced problems with my periods (once I had one for six weeks and they have always been painful). My doctor has always regulated this with b/c. I've now been married for two years and my husband and I want to have children. I thought I might have been pregnant back in October 2006. Took a hpt--negative. A week later (after being over a week late) doctor did a pt and it was also negative. I went from Sept 28 to Dec 18 (11 weeks) with no period (light spotting for 3 days). This had never happened before. On Dec 26 I woke up in the middle of the night in a hot sweat and had vomiting all night (could keep no liquids down). Then had cold chills and had to call in sick for work. Started period that day (lasted 15 days). Had long periods (15 days or more) from then until March 2007 (had ultrasound in Feb--normal result, had bloodwork also, all normal). In April I had pain and heavy bleeding (six-day period, the first normal one in months), along with enlarged ovary on right side. Doctor suspected polycystic ovaries. Insulin test came back normal. Normal period in May, nothing in June. Now at day 41 of cycle (about 2 weeks late). Last week took a hpt--negative. I'm going to the doctor in a week and a half. What could be going on? I've been ttc for over a year.
