I too am 42 and trying to have a 2nd child. I am concerned though because I haven't had my period this time, took 4 home pregnancy tests and also went to the Dr. and got a pregnancy test. All negative, BUT I am experiencing some pregnancy symptoms; increased apetite, nausea, discharge, some nipple tenderness. This is very frustrating to me because I want to have a 2nd child. Good luck to you in getting pregnant. Wish me luck too!
