My baby was diagnosed with this spot at my 18 week u/s. My quad screen was 1:980 which b/c of this finding was halved to 1:490. I had a level II u/s and the specialist said she didn't see any other signs of d/s so we declined the amnio. I stressed for my entire pregnancy and the first question I asked the moment she was born was "is she healthy?" and my doctor's response was "of course!" My little girl is now 3 weeks old and in perfect health and no one, not even the pedi, has ever mentioned this spot again. During those stressful, worrisome months this forum was the only thing that kept me from going crazy. I am so glad I am able to post my happy story to give hope to everyone else. Please don't waste so much time worrying like I did, there is no need! Enjoy your pregnancy and forget about that stupid spot!!
