Hello,

I have spent the last few hours reading through all the posts on this thread - thank you as many have provided comfort and some peace of mind.

I received a call from my dr. this morning letting me know that the results from my 20 week 'anatomical ultrasound' were all good EXCEPT, that the tech noticed a bright spot on the heart and both kidneys are slightly enlarged. She went on to say that these are both soft signs of DS. I hung up the phone, closed my office door and bawled my eyes out. I have been crying off and on all day.

Has anyone else been diagonised with both of these? I will be 35 at the time of delivery and all other tests have been negative. (a combo u/s and blood test during first trimester came back at 1/42000 chance)

I am awaiting an appointment with a geneticist. In the mean time, if anyone has anything to share, please do.
