I am in the same situation as Patty, who started this forum. I am 37 and this is my second child. I am 16 weeks. The docotor found a EIF on her left part of the heart and I did go for the amnio. I had it done this past Monday, October 31st. So far, I am OK and so it my baby. I was scared about the amnio, but I read about it and complications are actually much less then the 1/200 previously predicted by doctors. The niddle was very thin ,and the procedure lasted less than 5 minutes. My aminiotic liquid was nice and clear. Please PRAY for a normal amnio result and that I don't develop any complications from the procedure. May God bless all your babies.
