The law says you can name your child any name you want as long as there is no deception involved in the naming. While you can't list two mothers on the birth certificate you can give the baby a hyphenated last name using both of your names or your last name or any name you choose. It will reflect the birth mother on the birth certificate and the hyphenated name or whatever. The only way to legally be the child's mother would be to go to court to adopt the child after the birth. Some states make this easier than others.
