I'm sorta old fashioned so I do my sauce in a huge pot on the stove all day, but it is easily transferred to a crock pot. Sear 2 small bottom round steaks and 3 boneless pork chops until browned on both sides, add 2 large cans plain tomatoe sauce, 4 cloves garlic minced, one medium onion chopped, 1 teaspoon dry basil, 1/2 teaspoon dry oregano, 1/4 cup sugar, 1/2 cup dry red wine (real wine not cooking wine) salt and pepper to taste. Set pot to 8 hours on low. 10 minutes before serving add 2 tbspns tomato paste and stir well, simmer low for another few minutes to thicken. You can either remove meat and serve seperate or I like to shred it with 2 forks and leave it in the sauce for a really great meat sauce.
