hi! i read and gathered a lot of opinions in this forum but felt closest to you...My husband and I are married for 7 years and been together for 15. We have been talking about having a baby -actually I have tried to open the discussion 3 years ago and his answer was "we'll see!". Trust me, his answer hasn't changed yet. In the begining it was financial as well, since we were trying to finish our house in order to move in. Now, five years later, our house is almost done and his answer is still "we'll see...let's finish the house first and we'll see!". I am 35 years old. My clock is ticking like crazy, and I'm not lying when I'm saying this but he just loves children. When we visit friends or relatives he plays with them for hours!!! So, I guess I can't understand why he refuses having one of his own since he loves them so much? I have tried everything a wife could do: discuss it, romantic night, holidays, argument, fight, threat to leave him, ask to adopt...nothing...everything has failed. He still sticks to his decision and I'm still dreaming of the day that i'd become a mom! |

If you wait until you are financially ready you will never have kids. My sister just had a baby that her and her husband weren't ready for and they are doing just fine with money. If you and your husband do not see eye to eye then try explaining to him that your running out of time and you want kids. List the pros and cons (pros is usually longer anyways ;)). I hope things work out for you!! |
