you need to go somewhere to learn more about tracking your fertility signs. A good place to use their free fertility tracking tools is www .fertilityfriend.com You can't just guess what day will be your fertile day. You need to track your bbt (basal body temperature) daily to find out when you normally ovulate. You will also want to learn more about tracking for signs of fertile cervical mucus and watching for fertile cervical positioning. Your highest chance are the days before ovulation and the day of ovulation. Once the egg is released, it is only viable for about 10 hours or so and then after that it cannot be succesfully fertilized. However, Sperm can live inside your body for up to 5 days or so, and can take up to several days to get to your fallopian tubes to find the waiting egg. So, best to make sure there are lots of waiting sperm when you ovulate. Now you just need to learn when you ovulate. The number of days from your af to your day of ovulation can and do vary from month to month and are influenced by many factors, lifestyle, emotions, stress, smoking, diet, etc....once you ovulate though, the days from ovulation to Af are the same from month to month. I know you say you are 28 day cycle....but I always thought I was 30 day cycle and after tracking all my signs for several months, found that I actually average 31 days...now that doesn't seem like much difference, but believe me- it is! When I look back at my charts some months are 28 days some up to 32 days....I had no idea...I thought I was like clockwork because I seemed to get AF the same time every month. But once I found out just how my individual cycle works and how to track my cycle...it made getting pg lots easier!!
