Assuming her period started April 3rd, sex April 7th (CD4) is most unlikely to cause pregnancy. In fact, she would expecte to ovulate around now, CD14, if she normally has a 28 day cycle, and a test would not mean much for another 2 weeks. I am wondering about the possibility of pregnancy from sex around March 20, with an in-pregnancy bleed rather than a true period at the beginning of April. The trouble with that theory is that a test in mid-April should then show positive. Maybe her ovulation this month is throwing off more hormones than usual. Take another couple of pregnancy tests at one week intervals using first morning pee. Good luck!
