Hi Ladies
I have been a lurker for the last 10 months and found all of the stories in the FIBROID thread helpful. In 2004 I too went into pre-term labor at 23 weeks and my baby did not make it. I had a myomectomy back in 1999 however, none of the doctors could tell me for certain that my current fibroids were the cause of my loss. I decided against a 2nd myomectomy as I was only 32 with no children. I decided to move forward by faith and in November 2005 I found out I was pregnant and was excited and scared at the same time. I immediately stopped working out and became one LAZY PREGNANT woman - the last time i was active and may have over done it. In any event, as my pregnanct progressed I remember that at every sonogram visit the doctor at the facility always pointed out that I had a FIBROID UTERUS and I would most likely go early. Well I am happy to say that I went right on time and had no complications what so ever with a FIBROID UTERUS. There is hope ladies. I am proof of that , My beautiful baby girl was born on August 3 by c-section. Get this I have 2 large FIBROIDS and about 6-7 of smaller cluster ones. Yes during my pregnancy my baby had limited space..but she was healthy and I made it without having to go under the knife again. I would say to those contemplating another myo -to see a RE and discuss the options which may work instead. Good luck!
