hi. I am 6 weeks ges. and woke up sun. morning bleeding. for the past two weeks, all symptoms of pregnancy have stopped, no more morning sickness, i felt like i was losing weight,etc... I just didn't feel pregnant. Sunday I went to the ER and had an u/s. the baby's rate rate was 55 and my hcg was 1950. the doctor said to come back in one week for an another u/s, but everyone has said that is a miscarriage. my bleeding has almost completely stopped by this morning tues. all the doctors including the dr. reading the ultrasound said that this kind of pregnancy doesn't do well. i am prepared that this pregnancy is ending. i have been reading a lot and statistically 1 in 4 pregnancies miscarry. I am the 3rd person I know who has gone through this in the last 6 months. I just turned 33 and this is my first pregnancy. It is very sad to know there is nothing I can do about it. I also have read and been told by doctors, my cousin is an ob/gyn that after 2-3 miscarriages it is possible to request chromsomal testing, which isn't inexpensive. But does mean that there is still the possibility to become pregnant. I would be interested to know what your doctor tells you.
