I had a miscarriage at 9 weeks in Mar 07. This was my first pregnancy and because my husband and I had been trying for a while, I was so excited! I am 28 years old and he is 35. We thought things were fine and then around 7 weeks my hcg levels were coming back too low. They were within the "range" but on the very low end. The signs of pregnancy started to diminish...breast tenderness, hunger, urination all went back to basically normal...However, we had an ultrasound twice and saw the baby's heartbeat, actually got to hear it, so I thought all was well. I started miscarrying in the beginning of week 9, and 3 days later it was over. It was a horrible experience, but we are now TTC again. We waited a couple of months, and are now hoping we wil conceive soon. My doc said when hcg levels are low it usually is a sign that something was wrong with the baby to begin with. Does anyone know why hcg levels are low? I'm researching right now...this is how I found this forum. I will say that even though we lost this baby, we have been blessed through all of this heartache. I have grown and learned so much and I will continue to have faith that God has a great plan for my life, and that it includes children in some way!
