Jennesse - What a comfort to find someone who has recently posted to this site. I also started at the beginning and read several pages, though not all 21. Instead I jumped to the end to see what the most recent post was and found yours from yesterday. It looks like our timeline is very similar, I should be at 7 weeks tomorrow but my tests are not showing that.
I did a HPT on 1/19 and it was positive, went into the dr the next day to get a confirmation and start prenatal vitamins. Blood test confirmed with an hCG of 134. I went back on 2/3 for my first ultrasound and the dr was concerned about the sac size only measuring 4 weeks and my uterus is not growing at the rate he thinks it should. So we did a blood test that came back at 6327, went for a 2nd blood test last Fri and that result was 6643. So it only increased by 316 - no where close to the doubling that he told me it needed to be. I go back tomorrow for a 2nd ultrasound and possibly another blood test. I have had no spotting and no other symptoms of miscarriage, but the pregnancy symptoms are coming and going. No real morning sickness other than a nervous stomach that makes me not want to eat, sensitive to smell, an aversion to coffee, heavy appetite and frequent urination, not to mention the increase in breast size but no tenderness.
As everyone has said before, the waiting is the worst part. This being my first and being 40 it is so hard to face the possibility that this pregnancy won't make it. So I like you am praying that it all works out in the end.
