I've had 2 miscarriages and am now 18 weeks pregnant. Of course your situation can be different from mine but on this pregnancy, by 5 weeks, my hcg was 69. By 4 days later it was 1120. My levels were lower than yours are right now. It's normal for them to test again and again in such a short period of time. My first ultrasound was at 6 weeks and we didnt' see anything. By the next week we saw the heart beat and the baby. Your doctor should be cautiously optomistic (mine was great)because things go really fast in EVERY WEEK. It's a little bean one week and looks like a real baby teh next. Keep hope. I think you're in good condition. My first 2 MS, the hcg levels weren't higher than 2 digits. Keep us informed! Good luck, god bless.

Hi JulieS. Thanks for your support. I went to the ultrasound on Thursday and they were able to see a sac in the uterus. Judging by the measurements I was only 4 weeks and 6 days. This could explain my levels and why they couldn't see anything last Monday. The doctor told me to just keep taking care of myself and to come back in 2 weeks for another ultrasound and we should be able to see the heartbeat at that time.

She said there was no need to do any more blood tests since she had already confirmed what seems to be a "viable uterine pregnancy." She said that if I was going to miscarry that there is nothing they could do anyway. She did give me a perscription for a pretty heavy duty pain killer in case I start to miscarry.

Luckily I haven't had any more cramps and the spotting went away. It comes back occassionally but it is very faint. I still don't really have any other symptoms but I guess that's okay.

Guess we'll just have to wait and see! Hope all is going well with your pregnancy. Thanks again and God bless you and your little one as well.
