Patti- no one ever is 100% certain of the exact date of conception (unless IVF)... So, dont be too concerned. You may have ovulated a day or 2 (or 3, etc.) later than you thought. Yet, all in all.... even 83 around that time doesn't sound too bad. You really can't go off of one lab. You have to have a repeat 48 hours later to see if they "at least" doubled. In the very early pregnancy your HCG should double every 36 hours, then as you hit the thousands, they should double every 48 hours, then when you hit the tens of thousands, they should double every 72 hours until you hit roughly 12 weeks or so. But, once again... you have to have 2 numbers to compare. :) Goodluck!!!
