the same exact thing happened with me. My HCG and my progesterone were very low and there did not seem to be much hope. We went for an ultrasound expecting the worst and instead found a strong heartbeat. I was worried that even if this pregnancy progressed it would not be a healthy one. My doctor started me on progesterone pills and both my progesterone and HCG have gone up. I just had another ultrasound last week (at 10 wks 5 days) and everything is looking great. I am now at 13 weeks and the pregnancy is progressing good. So all I can say is hang in there. My doctor told me that once the ultrasound looks good the low HCG is not something you need to worry too much about. As long as it is increasing steadily it should be fine. So just hang in there and and know that babies are a lot stronger than we give them credit for.
