Patti - thanks for that website, it gave me a bit more hope - Friday still seems a million miles away though, all I can do is hope.
Cynthia - a 'd and c' is where the surgeon dialates your cervix and then gently scrapes out the contents of your womb, this is done under a general - it is done for missed or part miscarriages. The modern version is an ERPOC (Evacuation of Retained Products of Conception) - a similar process but a small rubber tube is passed through the neck of the cervix and then suction is used to empty the womb. Hope this helps.
Carmen - have you done a pregnancy test? Spotting can be as a result of all sorts of things.
Kathy - this sounds really distressing for you. It is possible that yoou just ovulate really late in your cycle but it would be unusual to have all of these symptoms so early - how many weeks do you think you are? Have you started to take a new pill which could give these side-effects. I understand how traumatic the symptoms are when you don't even know if there is a baby as I'm going through this myself. I hope you get some answers.
My sickness and hormone levels are up and down the whole time, I don't have a very good feeling about this. I am so sorry for your loss Katie-Lou, I really empathise with not wanting to go throught the whole thing again. Keep hope though, my dr told me that statistically the chances of having more than one are low, and only 1% of women have three (as I will have had if I lose this one). You will never forget your angel, but time will make it easier.
Love to you all
