AKSKROD- I would say no. Unless you have major cervical problems or have been known to have complicated or fragile pregnancies, there should be no reason a transvaginal ultrasound would hurt a pregnancy. I know we all would like something to blame, but the truth is.. if your numbers weren't rising as should be, etc. then it may not have been going down a good path to start and just coincidence that you go on to miscarry shortly after the ultrasound. However, you can spot after one just as you can after sex or after an internal exam, etc. Your blood flow down there is hightened, etc. but that would only be spots. If you were to have a heavy bleed then thats more than likely a miscarriage and not due to the ultrasound. __Jamie- that sounds like a lovely story and I am sure that you will go on to carry a beautiful healthy baby full term and hold in your arms in no time. I believe things happen for a reason. How are you feeling now?? Are you going to TTC again soon??
