We had our baby Jan. 28 & she had her kidney stone broke up w/ laser on Feb. 22. (see earlier post) The baby is doing great & all the pain meds & surgery do not seem to have affected him at all! If you have a kidney stone, try to find a doctor that will use a scope and break it up with laser instead of lithotripsy - there is no comparison! They are able to break up stones that are not accesssible w/ lithotripsy and it is way easier on the body. My wife will have to have a stent in for two weeks after the surgery to let the crushed stone pieces pass, but after that it is back to business as usual. Our current doctor is going to do some tests on the stone fragments and find out what is causing them, so that we can keep them from forming! So after a 4 mo. ordeal we are almost done!
