I had kidneystones 2 years ago(I was not pregnant) now i'm pregnant and I have gallstones.Not sure which one is worse.I guess the gallstones because you can't pass them and they can't do the shockwave either.Difference with the gallstones is that you may not notice anything for days sometimes weeks( as long as you stay on a diet) with the kidneystones is a continuos pain. My husband calls me the ROCK after having both of them. Good luck guys.
