De Anna, my doc was very concerned that i was not passing my stone by day 2 in the hospital, i would think that your doctor would share the same concern, his main thing was that it was blocking my ureter (the pain was unbearable) and i had a huge kidney infection from it. since i have had the stent in (to keep my ureter open) i have been on antibiotics to prevent the infection from coming back, i also do urine cultures 2 times a month to make sure they are still working. I would talk to your doctor a bit more i think there is more they should be doing for you
