THANK YOU! After I posted this message Thursday night, I decided to call my urologist. He said to get into the ER asap for the baby's sake. Well here it is Tuesday and I got home an hour ago. It has been the longest 5 days of my life. I went straight to L & D from the ER and my contractions were about 3 minutes apart. I am dialated to 3 and 60% effaced. Thankfully my OB was on vacation all weekend. I had my stent replaced Friday night. was scheduled to go home sat evening but started to have contractions sat afternoon so I stayed. They gave me terbuteline but didn't stop them so they started a magnesium treatment. OMG I never want to experience that again. Thankfully though the contractions slowed down but not enough. I was given steroids for the babys lungs and then basically left to lay in bed till Monday. Early yesterday my OB was back and his only words to me were "You are too much for me,I am releasing you as my patient, I'm transferring you to UMC"(the university hosp) and walked out of my room. Needless to say, I was dumbfounded. I was transferred to UMC and released today but not because i didn't have a need to be there but because 1)I could do bed rest at home w/ help of contraction meds and 2) I was stir crazy. I was sent home with demoral, antibiotics, and nifediprine (sp?) but as soon as i contract again i go back in. ALL OF THIS BECAUSE OF MY STENT. I now realize thaty it isn't in my head and that my OB was just a piece of shit with a license. I am so irrate over that. I am extremely lethargic now so I am going to nap but I will write some more later. Thank you for you input. I think I will print ouit this forum topic and send it to my "old" OB. oh, and my anesthesiologist was telling me that his wife is 23 weeks PG and just had a stent put in and she was already complaining of the pain and it's been a week. I told him to tell her to come to this site and see she isn't alone. Thanks to all and good luck to those of you that need it. Lindsay
