Oh my God, I'm soooo glad I found this message board! My wife is in the hospital in unbearable pain as I write this, and we were wrestling with the decision of whether or not to get a stent put it. She's 35 weeks and has been in the hospital for 7 days. The doctors are pretty sure that she has a kidney stone, but since they can't see it on the ultrasound, they can't be 100% sure. But like they say, it quacks like a duck - they think it's a duck... They've had her on various combinations of Demerol, Dylaudid, Percocet, & Morphine (... and Phenorgen for the nausia). Our urologist mentioned the posibility of losing the baby with the stent and advised very strongly against it, so combined with the testimonials here, it definitely sounds like taking narcotics for another 2 weeks until they can do the C-section is the best course of action.
