hi again christina. girl, you and me both. i was not trusting of doctors, but i believe now that there are doctors you can trust but you have to look far and wide for them. i was reading that there are perinatologists (sp?) who are specialists in high risk pregnancies, more specialised than the ob-gyns, that you can go to. i believe that these people who dedicate their lives to treating pregnant women with high blood pressure, diabetes, fibroids etc will be more sympathetic to our causes. many of them believe in preserving a woman's fertility and in less invasive procedures. look into some of them and email them and see what their response is. when i first came to this site i read about women who had miscarriages as well as women who had successful deliveries and i was actually prepared for both. i thought about it whether i could keep trying if i lost my baby and i remembered the old lady i knew who had 5 miscarriages before going on to have 4 babies. in the old days there was no fibroid surgery or ultrasounds or anything like that and people kept trying. i draw on the strength of others. be strong. now....i don't know, but i feel, that the location of the fibroids could affect the chances of miscarriage. mine are within the wall of the uterus and huge! but i understand that those that bulge into the uterus space itself tend to be the ones most responsible for miscarriage. so that may determine whether you want to remove or not...remember not all removal has to be by invasive surgery. someone from my prenatal class had hers removed in boston in 2005 by laparospic myomectamy (sp?) and she had a huge intramural fibroid. she just delivered her first baby via c-section 2 weeks ago. to me, this site is a source of hope because i see many who do succeed. by talking like you are doing now you are healing and there will come a time when you will be ready to try again.
