Z: Everything I have read says fibroids can cause painful periods, heavy bleeding with clots and complications during pregnancy. I think most of the info leans towards they DO cause pain and problems and I know for myself this is definately true. My pregnancy hasnt been "complicated" but I have had some symptoms my doctor contributes to the fibroids. Definately some pain in the second trimester and frequent contractions in the thrid trimester. I'd reccommend finding a new doctor before you get pregnant, one who is versed on pregnancies with fibroids. Good luck with you IVF, when are you going to start trying?
