I have 2, a big one (about the size of a 3mo fetus) and a small one, apparently they normally come in pairs. The larger one is blocking my cervix which my doctor says will cause me to have to have a C-section (not a bikini cut either) They have to cut higher up because they can't take the chance of disturbing the fibroid. Apparently it is "feeding" off of the blood that has flooded my uterus since becomeing pregnant, which is why it has grown so large. Because it is full of blood, if they accidently cut it, it may cause me to hemmorage, which could lead to the need for a blood transfusion, emergency hystorectomy or even death. My doctor explained that this situation was the leading cause of death for women giving birth. Needless to say I am a little scared.
