Z: I wanted to share my story with you. I hope it gives you some hope. I got married at age 18 and immediately started trying to get pregnant. 2 years later I still had no child, No positive pregnancy tests. My husband and I got divorced and later in my life, when I remarried I again tried to get pregnant. (I thought maybe the problem had been him as neither of us had been tested) After a year of trying again I finally saw a fetility doctor. I found out I had a t-shaped uterus due to a congenial defect, several fibroids AND a low hormone count. I under went surgery to reshape my uterus and remove some of the problematic fibroids. The doc said I would then need hormone therapy to get pregnant. We had to do counseling for this and that kept getting postponed. 10 months after surgery, I found out I was pregnant. I did not ever do any hormone therapy. Several of the fibroids had grown back since the surgery, but so far havent caused any HUGE problems. I will have to have a c-section because of the risk of uterine rupture (due to the scar tissue from surgery) I am now 30 and expecting a baby boy in exactly 13 days. It took me 12 years to get pregnant. I know what you have in front of you seems daunting, but if you take it step by step.... who knows? Maybe in a few years you'll be reassuring someone else. I wish you the best of luck, I just feel so much for you. And I know you think I probably cant relate because I AM pregnant now... but I was where you are. Please let us know how things go for you... I plan on checking this forum after the baby comes as often as I do now. Its so nice to find people that are going through the same issues.
