Hi goldilocks, I hope you are doing better. I was fortunate to have only two episodes of fibroid pain. I didn't see any specialist I only had my OB. She told me right away that fibroids can cause pain and when I first complained she explained that round ligament hurts more with movement, where fibroid pain is not influenced by movement.I did take some ibuprofen for pain. IB is not recomended in pregnancy, but she said it is OK until third trimester. I was lucky and it helped both times. Good Luck
