I was prescribed progesterone for light bleeding at about 7 weeks - it cleared up the bleeding - but last week, at 11 weeks, I had an ectpoic pregnancy rupture. PLEASE ladies, before you take anything, make then do an ultrasound - I assumed the dr. knew the baby was ok without one, and almost died last week as a result. It breaks my heart that I lost my baby, but I would have rather known 4 weeks ago and not lost an ovary and tube at the same time. This was my first pregnancy, and I feel so stupid for trusting the dr when they didn't do more than bloodwork and basically patted me on the head and sent me on my way with progesterone. I've since learned that 83% of ectpoic pregnancies have progesterone below 15.
