Ray, I am the one who wrote above as well. In regards to your question, I had a friend who had a progesterone level of 4 at 5-6 weeks. Her HCG level was very low too. Well, she had a healthy baby girl. From what I understand, the mother's body makes the progesterone needed for the first 3 months, and then the placenta takes over after 12-14 weeks. I'm not a doctor, I was just told something like that. If I were you, I would want her to take it until that point, just to be safe. I go to the doctor on Monday to see if all is good with me.
