SONIA do not take any meds, as a faint line only shows up if your pregnant, it is very rare to get a positive unless you are on tablets that will interfere with your hcg, or you have a blood clot, crazy i know... ive done so much research on this, your gp is crazy to tell you to take meds to bring your period on, she should know what a positive test looks like regardless of how faint it is, sometimes i wonder how these people get there jobs, good luck and my fingers and toez are crossed for you xxxxx
