How far along are you? I lost a pregnancy eariler this summer...my initial hcg level was 13. I conceived through in vitro, so knew how far along I should have been. They were very cautious about our chances from the beginning, but it looked like things were doubling every two days, like they were supposed to. We got up to about 300 then it dropped to 25, then to zero shortly thereafter. Heartbreaking. That was early August. The good news is that I recovered and decided I was brave enought to try again...I'm actually having the egg extraction of my second in vitro try, tomorrow, with re-implantation scheduled for Tuesday. And we've also looked into adoption, which I'm actually kind of excited about. One way or the other, we'll be parents. I have heard of other women starting out very low and carrying to term...apparently everyone's different. The thing that really matters is that your hcg doubles every 2 days. I wish you all the best!
