Hey there. I did not breast feed for that long....my boy was toooooo big and toooooo hungry to sustain it. But I was using a medela pump almost exclusively since the act of breastfeeding generally hurt. I think it's a GREAT pump and would highly recommend one to anyone in question. I has the means for easy portabilit I y if that 's what you're looking for.....and the thing could get milk out of a turnip!!! But it's over 300 bucks and that is rather daunting. I was planning on a cheaper model but DH insisted. Good luck!
