if you dont even have a steady boyfriend, i think its a bad idea. the dad will have a connection with you and your child the rest of your life. if he turns out to be a jerk, youre stuck with him. my mom had me with her boyfriend, after she was pregnant he turned out to be a VERY bad guy and she has tried my whole life to keep him away from me, scares her to death knowing he has legal rights and could take me away. i know how you feel. but youre 15, and you may think youre ready, but imagine when youre 17 and have a 2 year old. youve been a kid for 15 years, youll be a parent for like 75... i hope you make the best decision for you:)

I think having a child is really irresponsible. I notice you said your birth mother. That is going to give me the impression that you were adopted. Your mother couldn't raise you at 15, and times are probably a lot worse than they were 15 years ago. I have wanted a baby since I was 16, but I pushed the idea aside because I have dreams, and a life ahead of me that wouldn't have been possible with a child at 16. I am now 20, and more than aware that I would have screwed up my life and the life of my potential child. I plan to have a child in the next 1-2 years, and that is only because I know that I can raise one, not that I just want one.

I am going to be 30 in a couple of months, and wanted to give you younger ladies my insight. I had my first child at 20, with a husband, and it was wonderful. However. now that i am a mother of three, and a little older, I notice that some of the things I did and tought even at 20 are VERY different what I would do now that I desire to have #4 in the family. Having a baby is just so much more than being able to financially care for, or love the child. That baby is going to grow up, and in now time be a five/eight/nine...year old. You are still trying to build your career/future, save for your first home/car...AND at the same time already try to provide for your child's future. Do you see what I'm trying to say? I'm not judging you, I'm just trying to encourage you to look at every aspect of having a child. Good luck :)

I was 14 when I gave birth to my first child, you don't know how hard it is. I didn't have a job and my parents didn't wanna have anything to do with the baby. My mama's words were ''You made the baby, you gone take care of it.'' I slept with boys just to get money, so I could raise my child. Sadly, my parents were busted, putting me and my child in a foster home. I haven't seen my baby since I was 14. I'm 23 now. If she's still alive she will be 10 in May. I hope so. Every day after I turnt 18 I tried to look for her. I'm still looking and i'm not going to stop until i find her.
