How long can you keep your br___t milk at room temp? Do you leave it outside (in your bedroom) after you've br___t pump or do you put it in the fridge? I went to my lactation appt. and they gave me a sheet and it says there I can leave my freshly pump milk at room temp. for 4 hrs then I got another sheet and it says 6 hrs? I dont freeze any of my milk all of them are all freshly pump when I feed my infant so Im hoping some1 here can help me! Im a 1st time mommy. HELP!

I have a sheet from the hospital that says 10 hours. I would say no longer than that. Hope this helps.

My SIL is a nurse an she said to remember that it's all about the 6's. It can stay out in room temp for 6 hours, In the fridge for 6 days, And in a deep freezer for 6months. In a regular freezer though it's about 3 months. But Im like you Im not planning on freezing my milk. But thats what she tols me and she's still b___stfeeding her daughter and she's just fine, so I think she knows what she's doing. Good Luck to ya:)
