h__lo, i'm 32 and have had 2 m/c's (at 11 weeks and 7 weeks-all in the lst 18 months) i'm now 6 weeks, 5 days pregnant and obviously very nervous about this one, is there anyone out there in a similar position? i'm so desperate for a baby, i couldn't bear for it to happen again. i have nausia, very painful br___ts and pelvic twinges - due to see the m/w on the 23rd. i'd be grateful for any advice xxx

You sound exactly like me and my story except I'm 33 and had m/c's at 8wks and 6wks. I, too am scheduled for an u/s on the 23rd and have had the same symptoms but I'm 5wks and 4 days. I have V Leiden which is a genetic blood clotting disorder and I've been taking baby aspirin so far and will start on Lovenox after/if the dr finds a heartbeat next week. I've never gotten so far as a heartbeat since both m/c's were blighted ova. Needless to say I don't have much advice. I'm so tired that I go to bed early every night and that makes the time pa__s a little faster. My dr told me to stay off the internet which I was able to do for a few days...I'm trying to stay positive and only read positive things. Good luck to you

Hi Louise - congrats on your pregnancy! We are pretty much equal as far as pg goes, I have also had 2 m/c ( 8wks and then 5 wks) in less than two years and i am now pg again at 7w3d. I'm hoping that the 3rd time is a charm also! I'm having the same symptoms as you, but the nausea is mild and my bb soreness is fading. I had a u/s yesterday and got to see and hear the heartbeat - what a wonderful feeling it was - I burst out crying - happy tears! I know its going to be really hard to get thru the next couple of weeks - I don't think I'll calm down until the 2nd tri - even then I'll be unsure. But I know i should enjoy this while I can and if something bad does happen, of course I will be crushed again, but I know there is nothing that i can do to stop it. The only thing different for me this time is the doc has me on progesterone pills to help the baby "hold on". I'm hoping that will make the difference as all of my blood tests came back normal. There is a post on this board called 'Pregnancy after Miscarriage - Want to Chat?" that I am part of. All of us girls are going thru the same thing and everybody is so helpful and nice - you should check it out. I hope all goes well at your appt - good luck!

Lola - congrats to you also! I've heard great things about girls who are taking baby aspirin b/c of that blood-clot disorder - maybe it will be exactly what you need! Good luck!

Best wishes Louise, join us on the pregnancy after miscarriage. I am 35 and have had 2 m/c over the past 2 years, am now 12.5 weeks. Yippee! Congrats to you and hang in there! I had pelvic twinges today - first time in a while, I guess things are expanding down there!

thankyou everyone, feeling more positive. will definately join you all in the other posting, i have'nt even seen my dr yet and i'm not allowed an early uss unless i start spotting! healthcare in england is totally rubbish! the midwife is just calling round the house on the 23rd to take my history again, i will probably beg her to arrange an early scan though xxx
