Everyone here is talking in acroynms and I'm not sure what they mean. What is a BFP? DPO? Is that days past ovulation? I'm six weeks pregnant and have my first obgyn appointment on Friday. What should I expect?

Here are a bunch of the acroynms everyone usese: BFP = big fat positive, BFN = big fat negative, DPO = days post/past ovulation, ttc = Trying to concieve, Dh = dear husband, dd/ds = dear daughter/son, AF = period (aunt flow), O = ovulation, CM = cervical mucus, EWCM = egg white cervical mucus, u/s = ultra sound, m/c = miscarriage, I think that is the majority of them used on here. Hope that helps. As far as the 1st appointment don't stress. It should be some basic health questions, some blood work, and a quick pelvic exam. Congrats on the pregnancy
