Anti Nausea Remedies That Have Worked For Me

Ok, so I teach middle school. Being sick all day is not an option. Especially since I am unmarried and the principal requested that I be discreet about my pregnancy for now. That's another issue. But, here are somethings I have tried to alleviate the nausea, and they are working pretty well. First, I gave up meat. I realized it was giving me diarrhea and cramps, and I have been totally regular since about a week ago when I gave it up. Also, eating 3 or 4 crackers and drinking some water before you even sit up in the morning had dome wonders. I don't puke in the shower anymore!!! Also, for the past two days I have had some Yogi brand ginger tea. It tastes really good and seems to have taken away a lot of the nausea. This is my first pregnancy so this is all new to me. Others have reccomended these remedies, and so far they are working pretty well. Hopefully these things will work for y'all too.

Well i will try anything!! I havent been vomiting at all just nausea all day, everyday. I am not usually a sick person do dont seem to be coping well. As for the meat, thats a hard one, we eat red meat all the time. I did notice i had mild cramps of an evening when i did eat it tho, weird?? So i will try eating crackers and no red meat and see how i go. Good advice, cheers

good luck! that's exactly how i have been feeling. not puking, just a gaggy nausea all day. seriously, the crackers laying down and the ginger tea have been the best help. i feel soooo much better than i did a few days ago. and it is hard to give up the meat. my poor fiance has gone veg with me...he's sooo great. but meat is the hardes thing for anyone to digest, so that's probably why it gives us more trouble when we're pg. feel better!

if only my fiance would give meat up with me!! that just would not happen. Hey, your the one that is getting married in Jan 08 aren't you?? I am also getting married in ~Feb 08. have you chosen a wedding dress yet??

ginger does totally help...I've just had general queasiness since about 6 weeks (9weeks tomorrow) and I was telling my acupuncturist about it (she specializes in fertility) and she laughed and told me that mine would be a lot worse if it weren't for the treatments she's doing and the herbs I've been taking. I was like what? She told me they contain tons of ginger and that's when I realized what that taste was. I've been taking like 6 pills of ginger a day...LOL! I thought that was pretty cool... a friend of mine likes sushi but couldn't have it in her pregnancy so she just ate slices of the raw ginger and that eased her m/s a lot.

stefkay, i could totally use some accupuncture right now. never tried it, but right now it sounds really good! my back and bbs are killing me!!! princess, yes i am getting married in january. no i have not found a dress yet. it's my second wedding, and i don't want to dress like a "bride". i'm thinking pale, pale blue. or maybe even white if the dress is short and more casual. no veil, and some freedom in the bust and tummy area for my pooch. i have always had a little one, but it's been getting a little bigger lately. i'm in between 7 and 8 weeks and i will probably have more than a little pooch by then! i'm going on saturday next with my mom to buy a dress. i hate those bridal stores!!! what's your story? was this a planned pg? ours was not, and we weren't engaged at the time. talked about it a lot and live together since may, but we both had some hesitations. my former best friend thinks i did this on purpose to trap him. she's not speaking to me and i finally found this out today. i'm almost done a master's degree and needed to have two sugeries this summer, one for my tonsils and one for chronic bladder infections. yeah, i really planned this!!! but we are INCREDIBLY happy about it and immediately knew that this happened because we are supposed to get married, and god was telling us something. she had an abortion with someone she wanted to marry, and that's where this is coming from. she can kiss my a** as far as i'm concerned! anyway, sorry for the loooong story! what's yours?

oh my goodness, what a great friend!!! Just what you need right now i bet.. What a big year for you!!We were always getting married in Feb, werent going to try for a baby till after the wedding, but then thought, why not, we both want children asap, i am 29 he is 30. So we started trying and here we are. I already had a dress, sent from the states actually.. It was a bit big in the bbs area so this works out perfectly, as for fitting everywhere else, well it was a bit bigger so hopefully i full it out nicely now. We had ideas of going to an island to get married but went against it, i sort of wish we did that now. never mind i am sure it will be ok on the day.. Good luck for the dress shopping :)

princess, that's how old we are! my fiance turns 31 on the 11th this month, and i turn 30 june 5. i'm sure your dress will fit great! and guess what? still no more nausea. my fiancee wanted to have s_x this morning, and i was afraid i'd get pukey, but after the crackers, no problem. hope you;re feeling better! and about my friend, yeah, she's just got to get over herself. right now, i just need to surround myself with positive vibes! so, now i'm going to church! have a great day!

Nola Gal, that is so funny that you said you were puking in the shower. I am 13 weeks now so my naussea has been dissipating thank God, and I also take Zofran for it. But the shower was the worst time of day for me, I would get sick 3-4 times each shower. I thought I was the only one.

yeah, it would start out as belching and end up vomiting. i would just pray it didn't clog the drain! the last few days i'm feeling lots better, though. but i'm only 7.5 weeks. i hope it doesn't mean something's wrong.
