I am almost 9 weeks pregnant with my first baby. I have rechid allergies (although they have not been bad lately). Yesterday I went to a friends house in the country and she has a cat and a dog. My asthma went wild! (I have not been taking antihistamines since I found out I was preg). Well today I feel really sick. I think I have bronchitis. Can't stop caughing and there is phlegm. On top of all that, my allegires are still going strong.... Is there anything that I can take that is safe? Thanks for your help

Hey Sandee!! Sorry to worry you! I check in alot but I rarely post. I used to but now my job is just to hectic and then I am too exhausted when I get home. I tried to bond with the christmas Baby moms to be but i just couldn't keep up with the busy thread! ha ha ha. I think my illness ended up being a really bad cold. It is starting to subside now (I am back at work). So is everything going for you?

Hey Steff, you should talk to your doctor about taking something for your allergies during pregnancy. Sometimes if they are bad and with asthma, they like to treat you during the pregnancy rather than risk infections and asthma attacks. There are plenty of low risk meds out there so don't suffer through the spring without asking. Congrats on your pregnancy, I have a Christmas baby on the way too :)
