I can't wait til the second trimester!

I'm sorry about your previous loss, buckeye. Did you know after hearing and seeing a heartbeat on you baby, your chances of having a miscarriage are very low? I don't know if that gives you more hope, but its just a bit of info. Hopefully we'll all have safe and helthy pregnancies. Truthfully.....We're all paranoid.

Thanks everyone. Yes, i am due June 24th. I am still so nervous b/c i had seen the heartbeat in the first pregnancy too but still ended up miscarrying! i know the chances go down, but since it happened to me after seeing the hb i will not be calm until probably around 16-20 weeks. this pregnancy seems to be going a lot smoother (knock on wood) though.

when you hear it is when it goes down more. I had a threatened abortion at 5 weeks..almost 6 and the doc told me at my last appt that once we hear the hb (which will be tommorrow) the chances of a miscarriage are very very low... it was rea__suring for me...but I understand your concern. I'm sure I'll be worrying through this whole thing.:-)

i never heard the hb, just saw it on an ultrasound last time. that pregnancy had problems from the start w/spotting and an "irregularly shaped gest. sac". i think it hung on longer than it should've.

My best friend miscarried twins in June. She lost the first at 5 weeks, but she too was spotting daily from the beginning. At 10 weeks she was still bleeding and got a u/s..thats when they saw the hemoragged area where the other sac had been, Her progesterone levels were too low, but her other baby was alive and kicking. She was so happy and brought home the u/s pic. The little bean was holding on as much as it could have. Sadly she miscarried that one the day after. She is now 6 weeks pregnent and is scared, but feels better about this pregnancy because she hasn't had any bleeding and feels more nauseous than she was last time. In fact last time she didn't even get sick. But she is just as scared and worried as you are. I guess we can only take it one day at a time. Otherwise we'd all drive ourselves crazy. On a lighter note!!!!!! My sister's bday is June 24th!
