Dizzy All The Time Doctor No Help

I had my doctors appt yesterday and told him that I have been getting dizzy all the time, I can not be up for more then 15 minutes at a time without getting dizzy, especially standing, but even when I am walking I get dizzy. I almost passed out last night in Walmart while we were shopping. This is getting really bad and since my youngest only goes to preschool for 3 hours, 3 days a week, I have to be able to get up and watch her. But the doctor was no help at all, he told me why it was happening(blood pooling, and heart pumping more due to pregnancy) but he said that there was nothing we could do about it and he said that it will only get WORSE!!!! How can it get any worse? Am I going to be on bedrest completely??? Does anyone here have anything like this or find anything that helps?? I cannot even have it be like this through the entire pregnancy, I have two other children that I have to take care of......... How can I get to where I feel halfway normal? Or at least be able to clean my house?

I've heard of dizziness during pregnancy, but this really is an extreme case. I can't imagine what it would be like if it were worse. Maybe you should consider getting a second opinion incase something else is going on to cause this.

Katz - January 31

I wish I could but my insurance won't pay for another doctor....if it gets much worse, I will go to an E room

I agree and would go to the ER if it gets worse, after all how can you even function if you can't even stand up without feeling like falling over! Alsothere could be another possible underlying cause and if so, it should be looked into

Is your blood pressure super low? When you are pregnant, during the 1st and 2nd trimesters your blood pressure will drop a lot. And sometimes really low blood pressure will make you dizzy. Just a thought. I would insist on your doc sending you to another doc though.

katz, are you eating regularly? The reason I ask is because when I don't eat every 2-3 hours I get super dizzy and then it sometimes turns into morning sickness! I asked my Dr. if it was ok that I was getting dizzy and she told me yes. So I try to eat every 2-3 hours and it has been helping with the dizziness and m/s

oh, one other thing....sometimes lack of pota__sium can make you dizzy so a banana or gla__s of OJ can do the trick!! .... also ear infections can be rough on dizziness...any cold symptoms?

I get flashers and loss of periferal vision (in one eye) every now and then ever since week 4. I do have low normal blood pressure and doc said to lie down with feet up and breath in through nose and out through mouth. It works but let me tell you after it's over I get a whopper of a headache.

katz how are you feeling? Dizziness getting better?

Katz - February 1

Hello, thanks for checking on me, unfortunately it is not any better, I have had my blood sugar checked and the nurse said my iron levels were normal. She just told me to rest whenever it happens......that makes me "resting" every 10-15 minutes :( Hard to do with a 4 and 7 year old. So, I am just trying to drink lots of water and hope it goes away eventually......

socalmom - February 2

katz bummer I'm sorry your still not feeling well, I know I hate when it happens to me, you must be going crazy with it happing all the time!! I hope you come around soon. Take care!!

Svetlana - February 5

Katz!!! you need some iron. are you taking vitamins?? Talk to your doctor about it. Do not overdose, but I think that is what is the problem or like girls did say low blood pressure.

Katz - I felt this way ALL through my first trimester. I even had to get dressed laying on the floor, and one time I had to sit in the middle of the floor at Walmart too!!! As we were checking out, or else I would have pa__sed out. I couldn't even stand long enough in front of the mirror to do my makeup or hair, I had to take a fold up chair into the bathroom. Worse??!! Don't worry, mine went away at about 13 or 14 weeks... and only has returned maybe 2 or 3 times since (I am 21w now). But it was just about every single day during the first trimester. Walking, standing, cooking, ANYTHING did it to me, I couldn't really do anything during that time. I know how you feel, it was horrible, and my doctor also said no worries. I found that waking up in the middle of the night, maybe 2 or 3 hours before I got out of bed for the day, and drinking a gla__s of water or OJ made me feel better in the morning, try that and see if it works!

aliciavr6 - February 5

Oh also, my iron levels and blood pressure were normal as well. Just try to hang in there, sit whenever you can. I couldn't even go to the grocery store, my bf had to go without me lots of times. As long as I was sitting or laying down, I was completely fine. How far along are you?

Katz - February 6

Thanks everyone.....Don't know what happened but one day, they it was just gone. Completely?? I have no idea why but I am SOOOOOOO very glad!!!! I still get dizzy if I stand up too fast but that is normal. I appreciate everyones help and concern, I really really do.... Well lets see, I am almost 13 weeks! Can you believe that?? I can't! I will be 13 weeks on Thursday........ here is my latest baby bump comparison pictures................................... i11.photobucket.com/albums/a154/KatzPomDogz/WeekbyWeek-1.jpg
