I'm not sure what week would be best to start sleeping on your side, Shira. As soon as I found out I was pregnant, I started sleeping on my sides, left or right, so that I'm used to it later on when I knew it would be unsafe to sleep on my tummy or my back. Pregnancy-Info.net says under Discomforts that it's best to start sleeping on your sides with proper support early, but it doesn't state exactly when to make the change of tummy to side. Good Luck.

I've heard 20 weeks is when you must move to your left side for most of the night. Not sure about sleeping on stomach - I normally sleep on my back now.

I sleep on my stomach all the time. I'm 18 wks and still have no problem sleeping on my stomach. Although I always sleep with my hand or arm sort of tucked under my hip bone so my back doesn't hurt. The only problem I have is I have to pee more since I put all that pressure on my belly at night :) My doc said it won't hurt anything and eventually I won't be able to sleep on my tummy cus it'll be too big!
