I just got a BFP, my last period started on Jan. 16th so it is a really early positive, wasn't expecting AF until the 16th of this month, I called the Dr. and they didn't want to make even an initial appt. until mid-March! I sthis normal? I have an older daughter (6) but I remember going in when I first found out with her! Also, how many weeks would I be?

Yes, that's normal, I hear they don't usually make appointments til about 12weeks. I had my first appointment at about 8weeks I think, which seems like that's when they want to see you... You are only 3 weeks now and based on a 28 day cycle, you are due October 23rd.

Punkin, sadly this is normal. The doctors try to weed out miscarriages so they make you wait until 10-12 weeks before they see you. My doctor let me in at 8 weeks, but this is more the exception. Most doctors won't see you until at least 10 weeks. It sucks, but that's how it is.

i saw my Dr. at 9 weeks. I got the pregnancy confirmed at 5 weeks. But all drs are different so it's probably normal for that Dr..

I got my BFP on Christmas Eve and my first appointment wasn't unitl Jan. 23... but I just saw the nurse for bloodwork. I didn't see the doc until Jan. 29 when I was 9 weeks.

yep, normal. A lot of doctors won' t see you until at least 10 weeks. A m/c can happen early on, so they want to wait until a HB can be heard.

my dr. wants to see people at 8 weeks. I went in when I found out I was pregnant, he gave me prenatal vitamins, and came back at 8 weeks for blood work and stuff.
