I Can T Take It Anymore

I started spotting last Friday on 7 DPO. It is still going on now.... when I wipe, a little on pantyliner, etc. Not much, but red. I tested on 10 DPO, 11 DPO, and (Today) 12 DPO, and got DARK BFP's. I had a chemical pregnancy once, before I had my son, and when that happened I got faint positives for a few days, then BFN's... and then I started bleeding heavily. With my son, who is one year old, I had absolutely ZERO bleeding at all. I will test again tomorrow, but I haven't called the doctor yet because it is still so early. I just dread going to the bathroom, because I am nervous about seeing blood when I wipe. I just can't take this anymore. I want to know what the heck is going on with my body!!! My hubby is getting all excited about the new baby... but I tell him to wait until we know more before he gets his hopes too high. This is more of a vent, but if you have any experience or advice, feel free to share. Thanks! :)

I started bleeding when I was 6 weeks and it was bright red and scared the c___p out of me. But it turns out they have no idea what caused it. they only know it wasnt from the baby. I am 17 weeks 5 days now. It is not all that uncommon to bleed during pregnancy. Are you pa__sing clots or cramping at all? Someone in the early stages of my pregnancy gave me some good advice. They said that every pregnancy is either gonna make it of doomed from the beginning. So enjoy every minute you have with your LO even if its only for a brief period. GL!! Also real quick, are you late at all? When I got my BFP I had this feeling that I was gonna start AF any minute. But thankfully she never showed. :)

I would say you probably have a very sensitive cervix and perhaps the blood vessels are a bit agitated. That would be my only guess. But since you have continued to get BFP, it sounds like you are just fine. Definitely at least call a doctor and talk and see what they think.

Thanks so much for replying. I am not late. My AF isn't scheduled to arrive for another couple of days. Jennifer, that is a good philosophy to try to enjoy every minute I have with this LO...... I'll try to use that perspective. It is just really hard. I guess the confusing part is that I am getting these really DARK BFP's (using multiple kinds of tests).... and bleeding. AND, that I started getting BFP's 3 days after the spotting started. It all just confuses me. Only time will tell.... but I think, if I do get another BFP tomorrow morning that I will call the doctor. There is nothing they can do if I am MC'ing, but they might be able to shed some light on it I guess, or order blood tests. Thanks for the help ladies.

Well, after work today I'm going in for a blood test... and then I'm going in for another one on Saturday. The only bummer is that I won't know if my levels are increasing until MONDAY because the office is closed on the weekends. Wow, pregnancy is really such a waiting game!

sarah21 - September 20

No kidding! And you just have to keep waiting for different things... heartbeat, ultrasound, gender, birth, etc. Sigh

Okay. Got my first HCG results back. They are at 490. I am really only 3 weeks past my LMP, so that seems a little high, but who knows I guess. Anyway, hopefully on Saturday when I go in it has doubled! I'm very nervous. I wish this dang bleeding would just stop!

sarah21 - September 21

well congratulations-- at least for now everything sounds good.

Okay, well, I went in on Saturday for my blood test when the lady told me to, but the lab was CLOSED!!! I drove 45 min. to get there! Arg. Anyway, I went in super early before work this morning..... so I should have the results back early this afternoon. I'm really nervous. I'm still bleeding. This has been going on for ten days!!! I am getting sick of it. I took a HPT this mornig (because I'm obsessed) lol.... and it was still a dark BFP. I am just hoping that this blood test shows increasing numbers. The bleeding hasn't gotten any worse... but it hasn't gotten any better either. I'm just venting. There is nothing in the world more frustrating than this!

Well, I called back early and got my results. It has been 3 1/2 days since my last blood test so my levels should have at least doubled. Well, I went from 490 up to 694..... so I don't think that is a good sign. I haven't talked to my dr's office yet about it..... but I am extremely bummed out. :(((((

HeavenisMine - September 24

I wouldn't stress over hcg levels too much, I read they can sometimes take longer to double as you get further into the pregnancy, as long as they are increasing that is good. Ultrasounds are more accurate, that is why I didn't bother having my doctor tell me my levels. I had a previous m/c in january this year before this pregnancy, so I didn't want anything to worry over. Here, I hope this helps you a bit. I am really sorry about your bleeding, that would be a bummer!:( ...........# 4 weeks LMP: 5 - 426 mIU/ml # 5 weeks LMP: 18 - 7,340 mIU/ml Those are normal levels for these two weeks. I hope this helped and I wish you the best with this pregnancy, just keep holding on!

I'm not trying to worry you, but you should know that if you experience severe pain on either your right or left side of your abdomen you should go to the ER. I spotted early like you did and ended up having a tubal pregnancy. On the other hand, implantation may cause some bleeding very early on also, but won't be painful like a tubal pg is. Just letting you know to be watchful. Good luck.

Audrey - September 25

Well.... funny you mention that KitCat.... I DID end up having an ectopic (tubal) pregnancy. I went in for an ultrasound yesterday and they told me then. I was admitted to the hospital right away and had to stay overnight. They gave me a drug that is supposed to kill rapidly developing cells. My blood count is good, so they don't think I have any internal bleeding. I still have not had any severe pain. They let me go home today. I go back for more blood work on Thursday, and on next Tuesday to make sure that my HcG is going down. I initially was really disappointed (basically a wreck!).... but have put in perspective and am more optimistic now. The positives are I am not in pain, we caught it really early, my blood count is good..... so HOPEFULLY this medication is working. If not, then step two of surgery I guess. I am hoping for the best.

Man that stinks! I am so sorry to hear about that. At least they caught it before it got out of hand and ruptured. Again I am sorry to hear about the turmoil, but I look forward to seeing you on here with a BFP with a healthy baby!
