IB Profen

I took IBprofen yesterday. Just one tablet. It didn't say on the label to consult a physician before taking if pregnant. I heard acetametiphian is better during pregnancy...did I hurt my baby by taking IBprofen? I'm 10/11 weeks pregnant.

I would ask my Dr about that. I dont think you took enough to hurt anything but I have heard that taking acetamethine during the first two trimesters has been linked to cleft pallet. But once again you didn't take but one pill so dont worry about it just ask your Dr before you take any more. Congrats on the baby :-)

Don't quote me on this but my Dr. said that the only safe pain relief (ie. headache) is Tylenol. He also said that just make sure you read the dosage you're allowed to take. Any concerns.......I would suggest to contact your Dr. Good Luck!

You probably didn't hurt your baby, but don't take it again. The only safe pain reliever during pregnancy is acetominophen (Tylenol). Ibuprofen is an anti-inflammatory, which is not what you want when you have a baby inflaming your uterus! I wouldn't worry too much if you only took one pill, but from now on, switch to Tylenol.
