Hio please dont worry.. I read concernedhusbands post also and his measurement isn't bad he said his measurement was about 3mm right? well An NT measurement of up to 2.0mm is normal at about 11 weeks, and up to about 2.8mm by 13 weeks and 6 days. so a__suming his wife was 13 weeks or later (he didnt post how far along she is) Im sure she is fine 3mm is still okay, besides all the measurment does is tell you if there is a likelihood or not if there is then they do blood tests and the tests ar USUALLY only about 50% accurate anyway.. the test is there to tell you if it is likely to happen or not and is in no way a for sure thing. try not to stress and just enjoy seeing the baby on the big screen :)

oh, and I would just like to add that I am in now way a doctor and cannot be held responsible if what I say is later proven to be inaccurate lol. I just say what I read or have heard from doctors or other people who have had some experience in it. I had my NT scan done at 11 weeks 4 days and my measurement was 2.3mm or something like that.. doc said that was perfect. good luck :) oh and Jessica a chocolate malt sounds soooo good right now!!!

and I found this on some website... If the NT is increased, it does not mean there is definitely a problem. Some normal babies have increased fluid, too. Image 2 shows a baby with an NT of 2.9mm, which is at the upper limit of the normal range. Though the risk will be higher than the baby's in the first image, nine out of 10 babies with a measurement between 2.5mm and 3.5mm will be completely normal. add the Ws babycentre.co.uk/pregnancy/antenatalhealth/scans/nuchalscan/

Wow, I can't believe how many Heather's are on here. I'm going make dh bring home some malt powder so I can make some shakes tonight =). Its COLD out today, I think I'll make some brocolli cheese soup for dinner, I've been craving brocolli like no other.

HeatherIsHopeful - December 3

lol Jessica.. it is strange how many heathers there are.. I went through my whole childhood, grade school to high school and rarely met another heather and now here we are all the heathers in the world it seems all pregnant at the same time and due in the same month lol

Thanks Heather. Unfortunately, they don't tell us the gender here....if I want to find out, we have to go to a private clinic where they have a 3D/4D u/s machine and pay for it (I think it's approx $200), but I'm actually considering doing that since after hearing the hb today, I really, really want to know if it's a girl or a boy!

HeatherIsHopeful - December 3

aww.. thats right I forgot... Im sorry! will they let you watch the screen though? if so just keep a look out lol. either way good luck with the u/s and let us know if you decide to get a 3d on done or whatever to find out the s_x!
