Just Curious About Something

I had to go to the ER the other day because I was leaking but it was all clear and no blood. I had cramping but that was because of the Uterus stretching and what not. My thing is that the doctor at the ER told me that I had a small UTI (Urenary Track Infection) and he said to take antiboctics called Macrobid and on the bottle it says it will change urine color and it also says that on the information sheet that they gave me there. BUT heres my thing...Because the doctor said the leaking was normal, I have a pad on becuase I feel wet, but on the pad its like the color of my urine, could it be the bacteria coming out when I leak? I'm not worry I was just wondering...I'm also in no pain at all....Any ideas?

Im not sure but after I had surgery my bladder shut down and i had to wear a catheter and my urine changed orange and sometimes even looked like there was blood in it. the clear fluid leaking might have been urine and now the colour has changed I would call the dr and just ask a few questions to put your mind at ease. I had to do that when i swore I had blood in my urine it really helps ease the mind.

There isnt any blood in it, I mean I know that I was just wondering if the bacteria could be draining out...

It sounds to me like you were leaking a bit of urine due to the UTI. I've had a lot of them and it is quite common for that to happen. That is why the colour changed. Just as a suggestion, you may want to have your doctor check you periodically throughout your pregnancy for any recurrances of the UTI just to be on the safe side. They are very common during pregnancy, but need to be treated as soon as possible. Congrats on your baby!
