If you have had s_x or a pelvic exam recently the spotting may be because your cervix was irritated. The blood vessels are very sensitive and swollen, my doc told me you could sneeze too hard and pop one so it really doesn't take much. I started spotting right after 6 weeks also. It happened about every other day for a week and a half with no reason. I had an ultrasound, everything was fine, and after that it stopped. Guess my body was just playing tricks on me. As long as it doesn't turn red, or you start cramping, there's no need to worry for the time being. Easier said than done I know. Use a pantyliner to monitor the color of it, and try to stay off your feet. A little light bedrest can help take care of it. Drink plenty of fluid and don't do any heavy lifting.

girls, I am 7 or 8 weeks and I had the same thing yesterday at lunch hour. I called the doc bc there was brownish mixed with the CM, and my stomach felt a little crampy, but it may have been my uterus cramping. She told me not to go back to work and to just go home, put my feet up, and relax. If it continues today, she wants me to call her. I was so scared, but I think that its old blood being pushed out. It wasn't excessive, and on Monday during morning s_x, I was cramping and ignored it, but thats probably what the blood is from. I haven't had any red blood....so I think everything is okay. All I can do is continue to pray and thank God for each day I am carrying this child, and ask Him to keep us safe and healthy. Today I don't have anything...just the regular cm.

i had some again yesterday and this morning, so im calling the doctor today, although these doctors suck and theyll probably just say oh dont worry about it if your not bleeding heavily. grrrr. if they say anything close to that i swear im going somewhere else.

ma, have you had any actual blood? red or anything? If not, I'm not a doctor, but I read in a pregnancy book it happens when there's old blood in your uterus thats being pushed out. I don't really feel comfortable with my small town clinic. I think I'm going to transfer to the city one after my fist vist. I hope everything is okay with you. You're in my prayers.

thanks newleywed, maybe im just paranoid, but my mind would be a bit more on ease if i had already had my first appt and heard something or seen something, you know what i mean?

oh yeah I totally know what you mean!!!I'm kinda of freaking out too, but trying to be calm in case everything IS okay. I almost started bawling yesterday when I was talking to the doctor. I'm actually debating going to a different doctor earlier, just so I can have a u/s to check and make sure everything is ok. When is your first appt? mine is Nov. 5th. Its still too far away.

ma1008 - October 25

LOL. mine is nov. 12, but i just called the doctor and the receptionist told me it happens sometimes after s_x and i was like look this happened this weekend also and it was before s_x. so she took a message and the doctor is supposed to be calling me back. how far along are you. ive seen your posts, but with so many i forget.

I had that this morning, i feel like that more at night rather than during the day though. my daughter last night was rubbing my stomach which was so weird cause she doesn't know yet.

Im 6w4d and today I started getting that also. Only brown. At first this morning i though it was my eyes playing tricks on me. but now the last time i went to the bathroom had had light brown spotting. this morning i had an appt w/a maternity counselor. if i would have know then i would have asked but i'll just take all of your advice and take it easy.

Im waiting for my doctor to call me back, i'll let you know what he says.

Yaa friends I know how all are you feeling but ma1008 I will advise to call again and again that's what I did yesterday. My doctor sits only on Mon,Wed&Fri. otherwise we get answering machine and if it is emergency then you can stay online you will get connect with receptionist. I ignored on Tues. But yesterday on Wed also my doctor was not there and I was getting answering machine and that lady asked me is it emergency I said yes she took my details and asked me to wait and my doctor will call me. I waited for an hour but no calls I again called and she again asked me same Q. I again asked her that this is really an emergency and I need to talk to doctor Immediately. then she took again my information and Doctor called me within 15min after that call. So I suggest you also call them and tell them again and again that you are in trouble.
